Kat Moseley

Kat Moseley

A native Californian, Kat Moseley was born and raised in Fresno, part of a family dedicated to agriculture. Creating art was part of her daily life from early childhood to aid communication in a multi-lingual environment and sometimes just to catch a glimpse of beauty. After graduating from Fresno High School, she migrated to the Bay Area for college and work. Work offered an opportunity for international assignments that expanded her travels further to Europe, Africa and Asia. She calls this time spent abroad as her "university of images." This experience inspired her to make the move to full time artist upon her return to the Santa Cruz area. Mostly self-taught, she has studied with several well-known Bay Area artists such as Paul Kratter, Rebecca J Alex, Randall Sexton and Noel Buchanan. She has shown extensively there in group and solo shows, qualified as an Open Studio Artist, been featured in local papers, and had her work published by the Santa Cruz County Art Council. She now has returned with her husband to her roots in Fresno and built a new studio in Fig Garden. You can find her oil paintings in personal and corporate collections in California, Washington, Colorado, Florida, France and South Africa.
