Summer 2019 Exhibition

Fresno Yosemite International Airport's Summer 2019 Exhibition featured original works by California Central Valley artists and was a combination of large scale paintings, mixed media and photography.

Featured Artists
Adrianna Alejo Sorondo’s exhibition showcased her paintings of plants, foods, and tools used in food and farm labor. Ms. Sorondo has exhibited at the Galleries at San Francisco State University, Alena Museum in Oakland and has done commissioned mural work for ACLU Northern California Offices, Arte Americas and Fresno Barrios Unidos.

Nick Potter’s large scale exhibition incorporated elements of idealized mid-century architecture and furniture into rich and colorful paintings. Mr. Potter has shown in numerous group and solo exhibitions. Mr. Potter, originally from the United Kingdom, now calls Fresno his home and teaches at California State University Fresno.

The Spectrum Photography Gallery features photographers Jennifer Franklin and Travis Rockett. Ms. Franklin’s “Fauna” exhibition is a mix of portraits and abstract detail images that capture a small fraction of the magnificence she sees in the animal life on the planet. “Natural Selection” by Mr. Rockett captured the unique personality of animals by illustrating insight that might not be immediately noticed through monochromatic color.

In celebration of its 90th year anniversary, a second Spectrum Photography Gallery space in our main terminal featured “Celebrating the Fresno Chaffee Zoo” by Spectrum Art Gallery members.
