Fresno Yosemite International Airport Unites with Airports for Virtual Live Music Festival

Fresno, CA ( May 5, 2020) – Fresno Yosemite International Airport (FAT) is pleased to be part of the JetStream Music Festival in partnership with 22 North American airports for an online concert featuring local musicians. Each participating airport will feature a musician local to their city in support of the creative community during these challenging times.  Hosted by Austin-Bergstrom International Airport from the “Live Music Capital of the World” in Austin, Texas, the free, multi-hour concert begins at 3:00 p.m. PST on May 6, 2020 and will stream on FATs Facebook page.  FATs performance will stream sometime between 5:30 – 6:15 p.m. PST.

Representing FAT in the JetStream lineup is Fresno’s own violinist Patrick Contreras – Violin on Fire who will be playing two original and beautiful compositions, “Mohave Rose” and “Tijuana.” Patrick is also part of the Airport’s Arts & Culture musical program. Now in its fourth year, the program celebrates Central Valley musicians by featuring a variety of music including piano, guitar, violin and Mariachi groups as well as rotating art exhibits to welcome passengers traveling through FAT.

“We are excited to be part of the JetStream Music Festival and to join other airports in bringing people together through beautiful music,” said Airports Marketing Manager Claudia Arguelles-Miller.  “This concert gives us the opportunity to share the talents of local musicians with a wide audience and reconnect with passengers.  Viewers are invited to join us and enjoy a wonderful evening of great music from the comforts of home.”

Festival viewers will be able to tip musicians throughout the performance and can also join in the celebration using the hashtag #JetStreamFest.
