City of Fresno Airports Partners with Beautify Fresno to Host Chandler Airport Area Cleanup

Fresno, CA –    On Saturday, April 9, 2022, the City of Fresno Airports Department partnered with Beautify Fresno to host a neighborhood cleanup around Fresno Chandler Executive Airport, Fresno’s general aviation airport.  Over 80 volunteers helped to remove trash from streets and lots along Kearney Boulevard’s frontage road and surrounding neighborhoods.

In addition to cleanup activities that took place, volunteers with Latter-day Saints – Young Single Adults program planted flowers and other landscaping in front of Chandler’s terminal and along the airport grounds.

“These events are an opportunity to give back to the local community and connect with neighbors who reside around Fresno Chandler Airport,” said Director of Aviation Henry Thompson. “We were excited to see the tremendous interest in volunteer participation and to enhance our city’s historic Westside neighborhood’s curb appeal.”
