Fresno Yosemite International Airport Introduces Holiday Music Program

Fresno, CA (December 4, 2017) – The sounds of the season will ring throughout the Fresno Yosemite International Airport boarding gate areas as the airport’s first-ever Holiday Music Program commences.  Departing and arriving passengers will be greeted by the musical talents of pianists from the local community performing a variety of holiday favorites and other familiar genres on a seven foot Steinway grand piano.

A diverse group of five exceptional pianists were available and eager to be a part of the airport’s inaugural Holiday Music Program.  Throughout December, each pianist will perform for passengers during peak flight departures to entertain a wide audience.  Performances are also planned for the late-night departures to Guadalajara, Mexico.

“The Holiday Music Program is a unique opportunity for Fresno Yosemite International Airport to enhance the passenger experience this season by creating an atmosphere of holiday cheer and hospitality,” said Director of Aviation Kevin Meikle.  “We look forward to welcoming our passengers with these special performances as they begin their holiday travels.”

Just in from the Aspen Music Festival, regarded as one of the top music festival in the United States, the impressive Steinway grand piano will take center stage in the boarding gate area.   The Steinway Piano Gallery graciously coordinated with the airport to secure the piano for the month of December.

Airport guests and non-ticketed passengers will also have the opportunity to enjoy the sounds of the season with each performance live-streamed on the central lobby video wall.

Fresno Yosemite International Airport currently offers Valley passengers daily non-stop flights to Dallas, Denver, Las Vegas, Los Angeles, Phoenix, Portland, Salt Lake City, San Diego, San Francisco, Seattle, and Guadalajara, Mexico on domestic and international carriers.  Fresno Yosemite International Airport is a municipally owned entity operating as a self-supporting enterprise. No City of Fresno general funds are used to operate Fresno Yosemite International Airport or Fresno Chandler Executive Airport.
