HMSHost Launches New Food and Beverage Offerings for Travelers at Fresno Yosemite International Airport

Fresno, CA (January 11, 2017) – HMSHost, global restaurateur for travelers, has introduced a restaurant and wine bar concept at Fresno Yosemite International Airport with the launch of a trendy new John Muir Grille menu inspired by wines and beers produced in California’s Central Valley region.

Exclusive beverage selections offered at John Muir Grille include labels produced by a number of award winning wineries such as Fresno State Winery, Crū Wine Company and Toca Madera. Travelers can embark on a Central Valley wine journey with a wine flight sampling of the featured labels. Locally brewed world-class beers include IPA drafts from Tioga-Sequoia Brewing Company and seasonal varieties from 559 Brewery. The beverage menu also includes a variety of handcrafted cocktails.

“HMSHost has truly exceeded expectations of developing a dining concept that supports local businesses and provides travelers with an authentic sample of the region’s talented beverage producers,” said Director of Aviation Kevin Meikle. “Our airport concession partners are committed to connecting with the communities they serve and the John Muir Grille operated by HMSHost is an example of this effort.”

John Muir Grille Director of Operations Damien Chaptinel, along with fellow chefs from HMSHost, developed a signature dining menu to complement the new beer and wine offerings. Travelers can enjoy a cheese and charcuterie tray to pair with a glass of wine. John Muir favorites include appetizing starters and gourmet burgers to go with any of the world-class IPA or seasonal drafts. Many of the menu dishes are served with generous portions to share with friends.

Mr. Chaptinel’s culinary experience spans globally to France where he received a Bachelor of Culinary Arts before relocating to the United States as part of his military service in the Navy where he served as a private chef for the French Embassy in Washington. Mr. Chaptinel was instrumental in bringing the new wine, beer and signature dishes to Fresno Yosemite International Airport by partnering with businesses to serve locally sourced products. HMSHost invested in kitchen equipment upgrades and new dining furnishings that reflect a contemporary style with a national parks theme.

For travelers looking to take home a souvenir of their world-class brew experience, Hudson News & Gift across from the restaurant will carry 559 Brewery t-shirts and growlers featuring 599 Local branding.
